I hereby apply for Membership of The Grampian Club.
Mountaineering is a RISK activity. Summer or winter hill walking, scrambling, rock, snow or ice climbing – ALL involve a danger of personal injury, and even death. The adventurous nature of all these activities is one of the attractions. I agree to be bound by such rules as the Club may from time to time, establish to regulate these activities when carried out on Club Meets or otherwise under Club auspices.
I accept that, as a member of The Grampian Club, I am responsible for myself and for my own actions when taking part in Club activities. I agree to waive any claim which I might have against the Club or its members in respect of any loss or injury which I may suffer as a result of taking part in Club activities.
Proposer and Seconder - must be existing members. Both of these must make a formal statement of support via email to the Membership Secretary.
Your attention is drawn to the fact that Standard Membership of the Grampian Club includes membership of Mountaineering Scotland and that as such all Grampian Club Members are covered for public civil liability claims while engaging in a range of mountaineering activities. You will be able to take advantage of all that Mountaineering Scotland has to offer including receipt of their quarterly magazine, the “Scottish Mountaineer”.

The appropriate subscription will need to paid before membership commences – please refer to the ‘How to Join the Club‘ for details of the amount and payment options.
If you have not already done so, please now complete and submit the Guest Questionnaire form also found on the ‘How to Join the Club‘ page. Note that your application will not be able to be considered without the Guest Questionnaire having been submitted.
