Weekend Meets

Weekend meets are normally based on three nights away, and offer a great variety of highland and island-based hill-activity, in some classic locations, with a choice of high and low-level walking, scrambling and climbing.

In addition to the outdoor activities, the meets offer a great opportunity to get to know other members in a convivial atmosphere. We use a variety of accommodation – club properties, other club’s huts, hostels, bunkhouses, and campsites, with the option of hotels or self-catering, where available.

You do not need to make a big commitment straight away as non-members are welcome to attend up to two of our Day or Weekend Meets as a guest before committing to join the Club.

This weekend meet will be based at the Club’s own Newton Cottage in Torridon

Newton Cottage, is a fantastically located and well-appointed facility. The cottage is only available for booking by Grampian Club members.

Liathach and the web of stalking paths south of the cottage which lead to Sgorr Ruadh, Maol Chean Dearg and Beinn Damh are all in walking distance of the cottage.

Beinn Alligin and Beinn Eighe are just a short drive up the glen.
