Tongue

Weekend Meets

Weekend meets are normally based on three nights away, and offer a great variety of highland and island-based hill-activity, in some classic locations, with a choice of high and low-level walking, scrambling and climbing.

In addition to the outdoor activities, the meets offer a great opportunity to get to know other members in a convivial atmosphere. We use a variety of accommodation – club properties, other club’s huts, hostels, bunkhouses, and campsites, with the option of hotels or self-catering, where available.

You do not need to make a big commitment straight away as non-members are welcome to attend up to two of our Day or Weekend Meets as a guest before committing to join the Club.

This weekend meet will be based at the Tongue Hostel from 10 to 13 June, 2022

Tongue Hostel is a magnificently situated stone lodge on the shores of the Kyle of Tongue. Once a former hunting and fishing lodge dating back to 1891, the hostel offers wonderful views of Ben Loyal, Ben Hope and Rabbit Island.
