Wet Cold and Wild – a talk by Will Copestake
We are very pleased to confirm that, on Thursday 2 April, Will Copestake will present his talk entitled “Wet Cold and Wild” – Exploring Patagonia by sea kayak.
He will recount tales of learning to guide in Chile’s famous Torres Del Paine Natural Park and tales from three expeditions totalling over 2000km through the remote western fjords of Patagonia. A mixture of the lessons learned as a new guide in a demanding environment and how they followed him into a personal adventure in a place that makes Scotland’s rain and wind seem quite light-hearted. The route involved both paddling and some mighty portages overland to accomplish this adventure.
Grampian Club indoor meets are a vital part of the running of the club and are always fantastic entertainment. This talk promises to be another unmissable event, and the photographs below are a delicious taster.
